Kwinana Project

Befriend are collaborating with the W.A. Disability Services Commission and the City of Kwinana to establish the Befriend Social Network in the area.  The Network is a model for assets-based community development which will enable residents in Kwinana to take ownership of creating the Befriendly community they want to live in.  Our Network model is has been tested refined over seven years to become an - Impact effective - Cost effective - Sustainable - Community owned - Evidence based - Proven and low-risk; way to build local social capital.

The year-long development project commenced in February 2017 and is being led by Community Builder Jodie, a local Kwinana resident.  Keep an eye out for events popping up in the area as the Network is established and grows.
