Your Child's Life on Social Media Workshop
A National Family Week Event
Help your child or teenager to grow confident using social media by building your own knowledge of the internet. Join Claire Stokes of The eFriends Project and learn how to nurture a culture of online safety in your home, privacy and security settings of social networking sites, potential risk of using social media, and where to go for help. If you have a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, bring it along to use in the workshop.

Tea & Tech: an eFriends Event for Seniors
A Go Digi Pop-Up Festival Event
The eFriends Project invites seniors from around Perth to join experienced trainers for some morning tea and advice about technology. Whether you're a beginner and want help choosing a device, or already have a device (computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone) and need a few tips, come along and have your questions answered. There will be some devices to try and people to talk to about all things tech, for example changing your device's settings, using Google, finding videos and music online, finding apps for you, learning online, and anything else that you might find interesting about technology.
When: Saturday 21 May, 9.30am - 12.00pm

Connect with Others Online, Safely!
Join this interactive workshop to learn how to safely connect with others online through emailing, Facebook, Skype, and other social networking and communication tools. Ensure you know exactly what the public can see by checking privacy and security settings on Facebook. Go away with lots of safety tips and tricks to incorporate into everyday online activities.
