“I’m actually a painter at the moment, but I’m going into a paint company to start selling it as opposed to using it. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a little while, to get off the tools and just network and mingle with people. I’d been doing my trade for about 8 years, so I’m making a complete career transition. It’s a bit intimidating, but I’m going to take that risk, to start fresh and learn something new. We don’t all have to have the same career for our whole lives. Once I realised this, I thought wow, I actually have lots of freedom. When people get stuck in their jobs, it’s mostly fear. I think there’s always possibilities: you just have to push through that barrier.”
